Tau
Tau is a sociological experiment, whereby agents compete in an artificial world. Their chances of success are greatly improved by cooperation. A very direct way of cooperation is to exchange goods, and to better facilitate this money was introduced. This makes it possible to also study economic topics (e.g. stability, value of currency).
Tau is written in C++, but is not yet available for distribution.
